The Saffron Patch Walk was organised in conjunction with Voluntary Action Leicester (VAL) and brought together Councillors, community groups and local residents. Key professionals were invited to attend the event, giving them an insight into Saffron, showcasing local projects in the area and highlighting the challenges facing the estate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peter Soulsby, MP Leicester South said “It was an excellent opportunity for all those committed to Saffron, to be reminded of all the good things that are happening there and of the challenges that are still to be faced. It was particularly good to have local residents with us to hear directly from them about their concerns.”

 

A report is currently being put together by VAL detailing the various issues which arose from the event. The information from this report will help shape and inform the Neighbourhood Delivery Plan.
